Purpose of the site

The main purpose of the site is to provide information about the international VLS Video Mapping Trophy competition.

Personal data protection

In accordance with current law, the site www.vlsvideomappingtrophy.com was declared to the French national commission on computing and freedoms (CNIL) on 15 June 2011 under number 1512673 v 0 et 1512531 v 0.

No personal data is collected without your knowledge on the VLS Video Mapping Trophy competition website. In accordance with articles 39 et seq of law n° 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on computing, files and freedoms, any person may obtain, view and, if required, correct or remove their information, by sending an e-mail to contact [at] vlsvideomappingtrophy.com.

Transmitted works

Subject to the public nature of the information associated with the audiovisual works sent to VLS for the competition (full name of the entrant, town of residence, technique(s) used), photograph, marital status, e-mail address, telephone number etc.), no personal data is disclosed by VLS to third parties without the written permission of the competition entrants. The e-mail addresses collected for alerts and Competition newsletter distribution lists shall only be used to send information to which the person has expressly subscribed. It is possible to unsubscribe at any time on the VLS Video Mapping Trophy competition site by sending an e-mail to contact [at] vlsvideomappingtrophy.com.

Limitation of liability

The user uses the site at his or her own risk. Under no circumstances may VLS, Waygö, or their members of staff be held responsible for any direct or indirect damage, particularly material damage, loss of data or loss of programs, transmission of viruses which could infect computer equipment or any other asset when connecting to and/or consulting and/or using the site or financial damage resulting from accessing or using this site or any related sites, or information included in the site, irrespective of the nature thereof.

Reproduction is subject to the directors’ and copyright holders’ intellectual property rights being obeyed:

The reproduction of the videos in electronic form is unrestricted, provided that:

it is done free of charge;
the integrity of the documents and works is respected (no modifications or alterations);
the VLS Video Mapping Trophy competition is expressly mentioned as an Internet source, as is the name of the director, along with a hypertext link www.vlsvideomappingtrophy.com, as well as any other useful information. We do not accept frames.

For paper reproductions, established practice is that VLS is notified of the draft publication in advance, and that the pages are submitted to it for approval, along with any forewords, prefaces or other text that the publisher wishes to add to the document. Finally, established practice reserves the right for VLS to freely allocate a certain number of copies of the printed work.

Copyright protection policy

As part of its copyright protection policy, VLS will put an end to the showing of a video if the director is a counterfeiter. A counterfeiter is a person that has entered the competition and has been notified by letter with proof of receipt of a presumed counterfeiting activity, following a notification or a complaint from a third party.

By entering this competition and sending your work to us, you acknowledge and accept that you alone are responsible for your own content and the consequences of its distribution. VLS expressly accepts no responsibility for this content. You declare and guarantee that you hold (and will continue to hold) all the necessary rights, licences, permissions and authorisations to allow VLS to use your Content for the purposes of the competition and, more generally, under the conditions envisaged by these Terms and Conditions and the Service.

Accessing the site

VLS reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, restrict or interrupt site access completely or partially, particularly the content, features or hours of availability, without forewarning.

Updating the general conditions of site use

VLS reserves the right to modify and update site access at any time as well as the General Conditions of site use. These modifications and updates concern the user, who must therefore refer to this area regularly to check the current General Conditions.

These conditions of use are subject to French law and any disputes concerning their application and interpretation shall be brought before the Versailles commercial court (France).
